How to use URL Cleaner

  1. Paste a complete HTTP or HTTPS URL.
  2. Choose Clean URL to remove recognized tracking parameters.
  3. Review the removed parameter names.
  4. Copy the cleaned URL.

Example

The cleaner removes utm_source, gclid, and fbclid from a link while leaving page, ref, and the fragment unchanged.

Limits and details

  • Removes utm_* plus fbclid, gclid, dclid, gbraid, wbraid, msclkid, yclid, igshid, mc_cid, mc_eid, _ga, _gl, vero_id, vero_conv, oly_anon_id, oly_enc_id, wickedid, rb_clickid, s_cid, mkt_tok, ref_src, and ref_url; new or custom trackers may remain.
  • URLs with credentials or non-HTTP(S) schemes are rejected.

Common questions

Will the cleaner break site functionality?

It removes only a documented list of common tracking keys and preserves other query parameters.

Does it visit the URL?

No. Cleaning is performed locally without a network request.
