Limits and details

  • This checks solid sRGB colors only; transparency, gradients, and images are not evaluated.
  • Passing a ratio does not guarantee that a full page is accessible.

Common questions

What ratio is required for normal text?

WCAG AA requires 4.5:1 and AAA requires 7:1 for normal text.

What counts as large text?

WCAG defines large text as at least 18 pt regular or 14 pt bold; AA requires 3:1 and AAA 4.5:1.
