HTTP Status Checker

Check whether a web page returns 200, redirects, is missing, or has a server error. The result includes the final URL and a simple response-time measurement.

What this http status checker checks

  • Live HTTP response status and status text
  • Final URL after redirects
  • Number and path of redirects
  • Approximate server response time

How to read the result

A public page normally returns 200. A 301 or 308 means it moved permanently, 404 means it was not found, and 5xx responses point to a server problem. A successful status does not guarantee that page content is correct.

How to use it

  1. Enter the complete public HTTPS URL you want to inspect.
  2. Select the check button and wait for the live response.
  3. Review the result and correct any issue at the website or hosting provider.
  4. Run the checker again to confirm the public response changed.

Common questions

What does HTTP 200 mean?

It means the server successfully returned a response. It does not prove that the page contains useful or correct content.

Why do I see a different final URL?

The original URL redirected, often to HTTPS, another hostname, or a normalized trailing-slash version.

Is the response time a speed test?

No. It is a lightweight server-response measurement from our checker, not a complete page performance audit.
